Numerology: The science of numbers

Numerology is all about numbers and their vibrational propensity that help an expert in predicting the future of a person. It is believed that all the numbers have the power to affect a person’s characteristics and the events taking place in their lives. Numerology considers the sum total of the numbers in a person’s date of birth and the numerological equivalents of the letters in their name.

The essence of Numerology

The moment a child is born, it makes a deep impact on his identity for the rest of his life. The name his parents give him also affects his personality and the events in his life in a big way. A person’s date of birth and his name forms the basis for analysis in numerology. Since this information is known to most people, numerology becomes a very convenient way to find out about a person’s personality, his future, what he should expect and how he gets along with others. This makes it a great point for a person to start exploring about himself and his future.

Numerology is an application of the laws of mathematics to a person’s life. It deals with the nine most important planets in the universe including Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury, Venus, Neptune, Saturn and Mars, and their distinct features. Each and every one of these planets is allocated a number between one and nine. It is believed that these nine planets affect a person’s life in a significant way and their positions at the time of a person’s birth determine his personality and the events in his life. Every person, at his birth, is governed by a primary and a secondary planet, and after birth, that person starts giving out the vibrations of that number or planet by which he is governed.

All major aspects of this person’s life including his emotions, desires, health, career, etc. are governed by these numbers or planets. For example, if A’s number is harmonious with B’s number, A will have a pleasant and positive relationship with B. According to numerology, all kinds of opportunities and obstacles in a person’s life are influenced only by the numbers in his life. Moreover, there is another important thing to note; numerology does not believe in universally lucky or unlucky numbers such as lucky number 7 or the unlucky number 13. In numerology, there are different lucky and unlucky numbers for different people.

How old is numerology

The origin of numerology is quite unclear but most people believe that it really started with the famous Greek mathematician Pythagoras around 590 BC. Pythagoras is considered to be the father of numerology. During its origin, numerology was practiced at Egypt and Babylon as there are records showing presence of a lot of numerologists in both these places. There is also a proof of numerology being practiced in China, Rome, Japan and Greece. Pythagoras is not credited for inventing numerology; his mathematical theories helped in the development of this science and that is the reason for him being called the originator of numerology. In modern times, Julia Stenton is known to have raised awareness about numerology.

Numerology Calculator

The ancient science of Numbers known as Numerology, as the name suggests places excess faith in numerical patterns. Since every number is said to emit a personal vibration, people with different Birth numbers have different characteristics. Here the important question is how to determine’ ones number. The most important number in Numerology is the day of the month on which you’re born. This number determines your basic nature, your character, personality and individuality. Have you ever wondered what makes one individual shy and the other an extrovert? Numerology answers this through the vibration of different numbers. One can calculate one’s birth number and destiny number using Numerology calculator and know what these numbers tell about different aspects of his or her life.

How Numerology works

Numerology is all about numbers one through nine, i.e. all single digits, but there is an exception with special master numbers including 11 and 22. All these 11 numbers reflect the major vibration rates associated with different characteristics of a person’s life. These numbers are totalled to get a single number. For example, the number 15 (1 + 5) gives 6. In the same way, the number 1974 (1 + 9 + 7 + 4) gives 21. Again 21 (2 + 1) gives 3. This way a person can calculate his number by adding the digits in his date of birth.

Moreover, letters in a person’s name can also be converted to their equivalent numbers and then added together. For example, A is equivalent to 1, B equals to 2, C equals to 3, and so on. A numerologist can apply these simple mathematical formulas to the numbers in a person’s name and date of birth to obtain four major core elements and about 20 or 30 modifiers. The analysis and of these elements and modifiers give a deep insight into the characteristics and distinct qualities of a person.

Various types of Numerology

The science of numerology has been practiced all over the world but there are slight variations in its forms. The five most common types of numerology are Kabbalah, Chaldean, Pythagorean, Abracadabra and New Kabbalah.

Kabbalah Numerology: This form of numerology is based on Hebrew alphabets and it has only 22 vibrations. It deduces results only from the meaning of a person’s name.

Chaldean Numerology: This type of numerology was born in Babylon, and here, the numbers corresponding to the letters are not in alphabetical order, but according to the vibration of letters. It does not assign the number 9 to any letter but 9 can come as a result of adding different numbers. Chaldean numerology considers both name of the person and his date of birth.

Pythagorean numerology: This is the most common form of numerology and is quite easy to learn and practice. Pythagorean numerology considers both name and date of birth of a person, and deduces results from the interaction between the two. Here, numbers are assigned to letters in their sequence. It is based on numbers one to nine and numbers 11 and 22 are considered to be master vibrations.

Abracadabra Numerology: This is the least popular form of numerology and it is analyses a series of pyramids and numerical values to get information on events in a person’s life and his character.

New Kabbalah: This new version of Kabbalah numerology was developed to include the changes in modern Roman alphabets.
